Top Precision of a Geophysical Concrete Investigation of a Commercial Property in Hoboken, NJ
Project Description:
American Geophysics was called in to assist the client in performing a geophysical concrete investigation of the finished office to core and run new electrical and IT/data/telecommunication lines to this private executive office and conference rooms. The client needed to have all detected reinforcements, structural engineering components as well as potential electrical conduits identified in addition to confirming the slab thickness. The slab thickness was estimated to be approximately six inches thick, with a non-homogenous reinforcement pattern detected in two directions. The tape was applied to the finished surfaces of the executive office instead of using paint to mark the detected data points. All detected reinforcements were marked in purple tape, and all structural beams and components were marked in white tape. All findings were also recorded using measurements and dimensions of the room; in case a cleaning crew or someone was to remove the tape marks prior to the work being performed or completed. Yellow tape was even applied to the base of the walls to ensure the data collected, was NOT lost.
